George Polya was the master of teaching problem solving. As he explored how to help students learn to solve problems, Polya described strategies used by sucessful problem solver. Since then, many math teachers have been insprired to do the same. I was first introduced to Polya as an undergraduate student. I’ve been using his methods ever since.
